News: Coord3, a leading supplier of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), has chosen Punto Netto for its new Metrology Service and Support Centre for Puglia, the Adriatic region and all of Southern Italy. With its specialised centre in the industrial area of Bari - Modugno, Punto Netto has fully entered the world of Metrology and Dimensional Control, becoming a reference point as Demo Cenetr for Coord3 coordinate measuring machines throughout Southern Italy
PUNTO NETTO ENTERS THE WORLD OF METROLOGY AND DIMENSIONAL CONTROL
Punto Netto enters the world of metrology. In recent months, the Irpinia-based company has broadened its horizons by adding the Coord 3 Universal to its company assets, the latest technology in the new family of Bridge Measuring Machines (CMMs) for dimensional control, analysis and reconstruction of surfaces, by entering into a partnership with the Turin-based company.
An avant-garde machine, verified by Accredia according to the UNI EN ISO 10360-2:2010 standard, characterised by performance at the top of its category and configured with motorised indexable tool-holder heads, point-to-point, continuous and laser probes, the flagship of the Punto Netto Metrology Centre in Modugno - Bari, Italy.
THE PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN PUNTO NETTO AND COORD3
Riccardo Giani, sales manager at Coord3, explains why the Bruzolo - Turin-based company chose Punto Netto as the ideal partner to further expand its service network in southern Italy.
"With the opening of a Service and Support Centre on the outskirts of Bari, Coord3 is opening up to a part of the region with which we have always enjoyed excellent working relations, from Puglia to Campania, including the Adriatic strip and basically the whole of southern Italy. Thanks to the partnership with Punto Netto, the Technical Application Support Demonstration Centre will be able to provide a highly qualified operational contribution to train customers and provide them with support activities related to our coordinate measuring machines".
Coord3 industrial metrology systems are used by small, medium and large companies all over the world to certify and improve the quality of their products. The company's constant expansion, especially in Italy, has led to what Riccardo Giani considers "the most important partnership signed in 2020", the one with Punto Netto.
"We chose Punto Netto and engineer Gaetano Griso because for over a year we have been collaborating on the creation of their Metrology Centre, which is a state-of-the-art facility not only because it has one of our best coordinate measuring machines, but also because it can count on highly qualified technicians. After overcoming the critical issues arising from the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, we have put into practice what was in embryo by signing an agreement that will allow us to implement our presence in Italy".
PUNTO NETTO AND COORD3 DEMO CENTER FOR SOUTHERN ITALY
Thanks to the agreement with Punto Netto, the Piedmont-based company will be able to cover more of the Italian territory and be closer to strategic catchment areas such as Campania and Puglia, thus enriching its customer base.
"Giving direct service and assistance on the territory on this scale means giving our customers the opportunity not to have to come to Turin or wait for the first useful trade fair to get to know our products. In this way Punto Netto will allow us to be more present on the territory, offer training and qualified assistance and, thanks to a demo area with flakes, to appreciate the added value of our machines and software that accompany them to a growing public that knows it can count on a company that can intervene from Modugno in a fast and rapid manner”
In the Demo Center, by importing, for example, a CAD model, it will be possible to carry out real metrological measurement simulations and experience first-hand the quality of the software that comes with the Coord 3 CMMs and the professionalism of the Punto Netto team based in Modugno.
"On the one hand, there will be Punto Netto, a serious company with strong roots in the area and an excellent reputation, built up over 20 years in the field. On the other hand, there will be Coord3, a company and a brand recognised throughout the world that has been making its mark for many years in the field of metrology. We are joining forces in order to penetrate more deeply into the large, complex and strategic area of southern Italy".
